Obituary

Keith E. Bowling of Portsmouth, Ohio died on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at his residence. Keith was born on October 26th, 1967 to the late Harold and Nancy Bowling. Keith is survived by his wife of 29 years, Stephanie (Hunnicut) Bowling.  He is also survived by his three daughters - Candice (Sean) King, Carmen (Michael) Longmire and Sarah Bowling, and one son, Joel Bowling.  Also surviving are grandchildren - Charlie Grace Longmire, Gabriel Longmire, the expected Owen Longmire and several step-grandchildren. In addition, Keith is survived by his brother Kent (Karen) Bowling and sister, Barbara (Richard) Mains, as well as nephews Shane Bowling, Shannon (Keri) Bowling and Brandon Morgan and niece Bria (Jason) Steele --- and many, many other family members and close friends.

Keith was a man who loved God, loved his family, and loved his friends.  He was an extremely devoted husband, father and grandfather who was intensely proud to watch his children play sports.  He was a drummer with Life Point Church's Praise & Worship team and enjoyed being involved with numerous events in the community that he loved. He always put others above himself and never failed to offer a cup of coffee to anyone who came around. He loved his coffee almost as much as his family and friends. If it was Jamaican coffee he may have loved it more. Keith was the owner of Masterworks Jewelry Studio in Portsmouth - a dream of his that allowed him to showcase his tremendous jeweling talent, and an opportunity for him to do something he loved.  He believed that every job was special, and every customer became a friend.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 15th from 5 PM to 8 PM at Lifepoint Church at Portsmouth Square.  Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 16th, beginning at 11 AM, with life celebration services beginning at 12 PM at Life Point Church.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Adkins Family Funeral Home in Portsmouth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Life Point Church to support a charity close to Keith's heart, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio, Inc.

"Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
